Nokia N73 Firmware upgrade (скачать версию 4.0839.42.2.1) is very easy “Yes, and I mean it”. I have been using Nokia N73 Music Edition since it was available in the Pakistan market with firmware version V 4.0736.3.2.1. Today I decided to move to the new firmware version V 4.0839.42.2.1. To my extinct when I plugged mobile and installed Nokia software updater with Nokia PC suite, I found the error “Critical Software Components Missing”
Well, http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/discussions was here to help. Checked it out, read about a hundred pages of information but “Critical Software Components Missing” were still Missing (LOL).
After that I decided to remove everything and start from starch. Here is the easiest way to upgrade the Nokia N73 Firmware. (Make sure to completely remove every single utility of Nokia PC Suite from your computer i.e. connection manager etc)
1. Go to http://www.ovi.com/ to get Nokia Ovi Suite. Here is direct link to download http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller.exe
2. Now Save this installer file on your computer.
3. After saving this file double click to launch installation setup that will be done online. Make sure to check all Nokia applications to be installed on your computer i.e. live blog, etc.
4. Nokia Ovi Suite will download and install all components (Estimated Time: 50 Minutes at 512 kbps connection).
5. Now restart your PC, connect Nokia N73 with data cable provided to you.
6. It will be DKU-2 USB data cable or Genuine Nokia USB Data cable CA-53.
7. Disable any PC firewall if installed.
8. Start Nokia Ovi Suite and Go to Tools “Nokia Software Updater”.
9. It will say Hi, and if any update available it will tell you.
10. In the next phase Nokia software updater will start download the latest Nokia firmware.
11. In my case it started downloading Nokia Firmware V 4.0839.42.2.1 and the download size is about 74.5 MB. (All Nokia Firmware Size is 74.5MB).
12. Now after downloading the latest Nokia N73 firmware it will prompt toward the firmware installation process.
13. The Nokia Firmware upgrade will take approximately 25 Minutes.
14. After completing the installation it will show you congratulation message.
15. You are all done!

Why dint i saw this b4…i used nss to change product code n it sucks…. Someone should find an easy way to unlock n73 from service provider like 3 hutchision….
im using vwireless on pc but how can i creat account in ovi my pc is connected but when i update software n73 on ovi the massage came no internet connection found pls tell me how can i creat account i want use pc’s net and what r the setings im using vwireless pls help
